My personal opinion is, I prefer to have two shorter sessions without anesthesia than a longer one with it. It still hurts a lot, it just becomes unrelated to the gun touching your skin, it's permanent pain, just easier to take than the pain you get after several hours of being tattooed. New sprays burn a lot when applied, so don't think they'll make the process completely painless they more of replace one kind of pain with another.
